PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Room Office® provides a set of services and facilities designed to meet your complete
telecommunications and electronic data processing needs. It includes Brazil Internet service for your
convenience. Room Office® will help you feel as if you're in a home office or headquarters during your stay.
Brazil Internet Service at Your Fingertips
The following resources are available in selected rooms and suites:
1 - Fast Track Internet ® : A unique, simple and secure method of attaining Brazil Web or
Brazil Internet service to help create a virtual business office. It connects your computer to high-speed
local area network (LAN) for very fast and reliable Internet communications. This includes virtual private
network (VPN), which is compatible with encrypted and confidential data interchange. VPN allows for simultaneous
use of any telephone in your room, while accessing a first-tier Internet backbone at speeds up to 300 times faster
than conventional dial-up access. No dial-up or special PC configuration is necessary in establishing this business
office. A daily tariff rate, billed to your room upon your login to the service, covers usage from check-in to
normal check-out time. A 10-Mb/s LAN (Ethernet) card is always required and is available for sale or for rental at
the hotel. You may wish to bring your own laptop to use in our Fast Track Internet system for Brazil Web or Brazil
Internet service.
2 - ReadyWeb: This service provides for an extremely simple and reliable way to the Internet. The connection is done by plugging the modem port of your computer to the dataport available in your room telephones. It is not necessary to dial to an external provider - Instead, you should follow the instructions available on your Room Office® Desk and you will be linked to our high performance server for continuous web access.
Now available in all Suites and Rooms of the Hotel.
3 - Ready to Use Equipment Rack: a upon request pre-configured set of equipment in specially designed carts to integrate with your Room Office® area, without disrupting the comfort of your room. Also for your needs there are available or can be arranged upon request: personal workstations, printers, fax, copiers, scanners, cameras, backup devices, LAN cards, etc.
For use with Fast Track Internet® or ReadyWeb.
4 - Independent Telephone Lines: Two lines, equipped with telephone sets for voice and dataport for dial up modem access to the public network for Fax, Data and INTERNET communications. The Fast Track Internet® operation will not interfere with the availability of telephone lines. The ReadyWeb uses one of these two lines.
5 - Private Line: A third line for point to point voice, fax or data special connections, on demand. Priced according to the specific service required.
6 - Computer and Internet Training Programs: For guests that wish to improve their practice in the use of computer programs or in the Internet navigation, the Maksoud Plaza can arrange for in-room training (or in other rental room in the hotel) with different programs in accordance to his or hers individual needs. Experienced and qualified professional instructors can be hired upon request. This is a novel and practical idea for beginners or non-beginners to utilize available time during the stay to acquire or improve knowledge in the Internet usage and in the ever changing computer technology.
